Church street Sanitary Replacement Project 2023

The Town of Pelham is upgrading the existing sanitary infrastructure to improve the capacity on Church Street between Canboro Road to Foss Road.

This project upgrade will allow all the future development happening in Fenwick to connect to the sanitary network and minimize the risk to existing homeowners. This sanitary sewer replacement of approximately 1.03 kilometres will include the replacement of the existing infrastructure and will improve the overall efficiency of the sanitary system.

Construction is scheduled to begin July 4th, 2023, and has an anticipated completion for the Fall of 2023. Project updates and details on the stage of the project will be updated in the Project Timeline.

The project will include the reconnection of sanitary lateral and a significant crossing of CP Rail. In order to protect construction workers and complete the work safely and cost-effectively, a traffic closure is required at the CP rail line during trenchless operations.

Church Street will be open for local traffic only, providing residents and visitors to the park access during construction.

This contract will be carried out for the Town by Trenchline and Roads. The contract administrator for the project, who will also carry out full-time project inspection on behalf of the Town, is Associated Engineering.
