Moving the parade
I know this is a big risk to put out there but what about moving the parade to more downtown to showcase the new arena. I know moving the parade and closing roads is tough, I had run the Pelham Santa parade and Fenwick lions parade for many years. Moving it so we could arrive at the Meridian Center, we could access the arena to have an area where it is cooler and out of elements. Use the parking lot for activities or even end at peace park. Having a Canada celebration under the new arches. Etc.

Parade Route
Our family enjoyed following the Christmas light display route at Christmas. Added to the parade route could be a drive-by of the houses decorated for Canada Day.

The Canada Day activity Package
Much like last years swag, if we are in Covid times and have to stay at home the Canada Day give away was amazing last year. It was flags, beach ball etc. Then sharing it on social media.
